This pattern of squares and a circle is a highly simplified representation of the layout of Philadelphia. From there I added other elements that I think are important to the city, such as the golden skyscraper, Independence Hall, and the "river" of hot glue. Since this "river" is translucent, the last step on this project will be to hook up LED lights behind the hot glue, so they can shine through it. Check back for the undoubtedly awesome result.
PS. I've been asked what the star represents; it marks the place of 439 Gaskill Street.
