This was an exercise in palette knife usage, a technique with which I was already familiar but this was certainly fun anyway. The idea was to use all pure white paint, and "build" the shape you would otherwise make with lights and darks out of paint volume instead. Althoug it's difficult to see in direct light (shown above), lighting it from a sharp angle (below) makes the design show up quite clearly.
