This project was conceived several years ago, when my good friend Daphne bought a new house with an enormous triangular wall that was just begging for a mural. Being the ambitious little girl I am, I volunteered, but instead of spending weeks hanging from scaffolding to paint directly on the wall, I decided I'd rather just build a frame to those custom dimensions. That turned out to be the hard part; it was difficult enough to measure it, and the frame ended up going through several incarnations. Finding the right fabric was another complication. Oddly enough, the painting itself only took about 4 days, even though the preparations, all told, took a number of years. Everyone is thrilled to see this finally completed.
